DTF T-Shirt Printing & Artwork Guide

The printed apparel listings identify full-color DTF printing as the decoration method. DTF means direct to film: the design is prepared as a transfer and applied to the garment. Review the method and options shown for the exact product you choose.

Prepare the graphic you want printed

Use clear original artwork rather than an enlarged screenshot. Check the product’s file requirements, printable area and supported locations. Upload a design you have permission to reproduce, and check spelling, names and logos before approval.

Choose the print location

Full-front, chest, back and additional locations depend on the selected garment and configuration. Front full-size and left-chest choices may be alternatives. Polo plackets and zip closures affect the available print area, and youth garments use smaller artwork areas.

Check the garment and size quantities

Compare the stated fabric, colors and available sizes. Enter the required quantities by size and color, then review the displayed configuration. A blank garment price is different from a garment with selected printing.

Review the artwork before production

The listed apparel requires artwork review before production. A representative product image shows an example design; your uploaded artwork is used for your custom order after approval. Check the chosen print areas, size breakdown, production information and shipping arrangements.

Printing methods are product-specific

This guide describes the DTF printing listed in the catalog. Embroidery is shown on certain other products, including the listed hats and jackets. Do not assume that screen printing, DTG printing or embroidery is available for every shirt simply because those terms appear in a search result.

Review the artwork and print location information or choose a custom T-shirt.
